This nightshade free Bolognese Sauce is so delicious that I assure you that no one will realize that it’s actually a no-tomato Bolognese! Just like some other sauces, it will taste better when set and warmed up.

- 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp mixed spice
- 2 bay leaves
- 500g minced beef (or a mix of minced pork/chicken/beef)
- 240g of my nightshade free tomato sauce
- ½ cup red wine vinegar
- 300ml vegetable broth
- A dash of Salt and Pepper
Sauté the garlic and onions in a bit of vegetable oil, add in the mixed spice and bay leaves. Add the minced meat for about 5 minutes. Add in the nightshade free tomato sauce and the vegetable broth. After 30 minutes add in the red wine vinegar continue simmering gently for another 10 mins. Add Salt and Pepper to taste.
