Gluten, Dairy and Nightshade Free Beef Burgers

Fast foods never step foot in our household; however that does not stop us from eating the healthy version of fast foods. These beef burgers are so fresh and delicious that you simply would not want them to finish. The best thing about them is that they are totally guilt free and actually healthy! The best way for these burgers to hold together is to prepare them beforehand and chill them in the fridge for at least 3 hours. I like to save this delicious dinner for when I have a packed evening. I prepare them a day ahead, so that they will be ready to eat in 10 mins on the day.

Gluten, Dairy and Nightshade Free Beef Burgers

Preparation Time: 20 mins

Cooking Time: 6 mins

Serves: 4 burgers

Ingredients

500g fresh minced beef

1 small onion

1 garlic clove

2 tsp salt

2 tsp pepper

1/4th cup + 1 tbsps balsamic vinegar

4 sundried tomatoes in oil (optional and only if you can have nightshades)

Method

Finely chop the onion and garlic, (and the sundried tomatoes if you can tolerate nightshades), add in the beef, salt and pepper and mix by hand. Pour in the balsamic vinegar and mix thoroughly by hand until everything is evenly incorporated. Form into 4 equally sized patties. If they are to be chilled wrap them in plastic wrap / cling film. For cooking, drizzle some vegetable oil in a pan, allow to heat up, place the patties in the pan and cook for 3 mins on each side. Serve on some gluten free bread with some baked sweet potato wedges on the side.
